Avoid holiday shopping scams with HandFF Radios help
WASHINGTON (11/24/10)--Sunday’s H&FF Radio program helps you steer clear of shopping scams, prepare for tax season, and protect your identity. What to Know & How to Prepare.” Barbara Weltman, author and J.K. Lassar spokesperson, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., discusses new tax rules affecting your 2011 take-home pay. * “Skimming: Don’t Let It Spoil Your Holiday Shopping.” Kathy Herziger-Snider, vice president of product development, CO-OP Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., explains how skimming works and how you can sidestep this sneaky scam. * “Identity Profiteering: Protect Our Soldiers From ID Theft.” Adam Levin, founder and chairman, Identity Theft 911, New York, provides suggestions to help members of the military avoid identity theft.
