In this month’s program, CUNA Chief Economist Bill Hampel talks about the state of the mortgage market. He suggests that we’re at a turning point and the market going forward is unlikely to look anything like it has for the past 20 years. He’ll talk about where we’re going and where we’ve been. And with much going on in Washington regarding housing finance reform, Bill will give an update about where CUNA thinks these issues are heading. And, he’ll talk about the new risks involved in guiding mortgage lending from a regulatory structure coming from the Dodd-Frank Act and the new rules being promoted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and what that might mean for credit unions.
