TITLE:

Marketing Communications Specialist - (Part Time - 50%)

DEPT:

Marketing & Sales Administration

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising or equivalent work experience. Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of completion. Experience with agencies, website updates, and general marketing functions. Additional 6 months of execution of marketing plans and input into the creative process evolving promotions and marketing plans. Must have good grammar, verification and attention to detail required. Experience in pulling data from multiple databases with comprehension of query and report generation. Prior experience in a marketing department or advertising agency as an assistant account executive, or account coordinator a plus. Ability to establish and manage timelines, along with overall project management experience, would be considered advantageous. Graphics arts or print shop experience with a marketing background would also be considered a plus. Must have computer skills ability to utilize computer. Ability to work under tight shifting deadlines, time crunches, and manage multiple projects in different stages required. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. 20 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and implement communications, marketing, and advertising plans for internal, league, credit union and member customers that will support established strategic goals. Participate in identifying needs, objectives, and target audiences with product managers and communications managers. Participate and recommend solutions in marketing/communications planning process.

Coordinate and Implement design, production, and distribution of print materials for all marketing projects. This includes responsibility for planning ones own workload to achieve and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Provide direction on projects, ensure quality and accuracy of marketing activities with outside ad agency. Authority to work with creative agency to correct problems if design is off strategy. Develop, implement and use effectiveness measures and analysis to capture and record results from each marketing initiative.

Analyze projects and recommend promotional solutions to product managers for communication projects that are stand alone (not part of a larger, strategic campaign.) Ensure communication objectives and customer needs are met.

Develop, implement, and monitor marketing quality control procedures and standards used in the creation and distribution of CUNA's marketing initiatives.

Monitor all projects to ensure compliance with established CUNA communication guidelines and procedures. Edit and rewrite all copy necessary to be in compliance.

Create lists for target markets for direct mail campaigns and emails. Generate lists based on criteria provided using different sources such as Wynstar, Brio, NCUA data, Access software, and de-duping software. Create and maintain informational reports on credit union sand staff within CUs to advise co-workers with making more sophisticated target market choices.
