Elizabeth Furey

Elizabeth Furey is Director of Grassroots Advocacy for Political Affairs. Prior to joining CUNA, she served as the Director of Federal Government Affairs and Grassroots for the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, Inc. (IIABA). While there, Furey was responsible for federal lobbying as well as IIABA’s grassroots program. Furey came to the Big "I" in 2005 from the office of Congressman Mike Ferguson (R-NJ). Prior to her Capitol Hill work, Furey did a Fulbright Assistantship in Klagenfurt, Austria. Furey graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2003 with a B.A. in Political Science and German. She is originally from Long Island, but now resides in the District of Columbia.
