22 Receive Financial Counselor DesignationDecember 26, 2007FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MADISON, Wis. – Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designations were awarded to 22 people by CUNA in December. This is the fourth class to receive this award since the inception of the program. In order to be certified, participants must attend the two Certified Financial Counselor Schools and successfully complete the exams. The program is designed to teach credit union professionals to help members prevent financial difficulties with responsible money management techniques, as well as how to design and implement a counseling program within their credit unions. The names and the credit unions of the new CCUFC are attached. Certified Financial Counselor School: Part I and the new Advanced session will be offered beginning March 30 in Miami. A two-part self-study version of the program – the Credit Union Financial Counseling Certification Program (CU FiCEP) – is also available.
