CUNA Strategic Services, FundsXpress End Internet Banking AgreementOctober 2, 2001FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MADISON, WI CUNA Strategic Services Inc. (CSSI) and FundsXpress Financial Network, Inc. have mutually agreed to end their three-year contract. CSSI will continue to provide Internet banking services through CUNA Network Services (CNS), CUNA’s e-commerce business organization. FundsXpress continues to effectively provide Internet banking to the credit union market place. "FundsXpress provides a high quality product to the credit union market," said Daniel A. Mica, president of CSSI. "As the credit union marketplace has changed over the last few years, so have the original goals we built into our contract with FundsXpress. CSSI looks forward to creating a new strategy to meet credit union market needs." "This is a mutual decision, based on the best interests of CSSI and FundsXpress," said John A. Burns, CEO of FundsXpress. "We feel that we can provide outstanding service to a particular segment of the credit union marketplace. Our relationship with CUNA has been beneficial, and where we can help each other in the future, we will enthusiastically do so." CSSI began its relationship with FundsXpress in July 1999. Credit unions currently using the FundsXpress product through CSSI will continue to receive their high-quality service. In the future, CUNA will offer an endorsed Internet banking product through CNS. "The desire for Internet banking services among credit unions of all shapes and sizes is strong," says Mica. "CSSI is committed to providing the most efficient and affordable solutions through CNS to meet the needs of credit unions." CUNA Network Services provides efficient, advanced online business and communication products and services to the credit union movement.
