FEDERAL TAX EXEMPTION

In order for federal credit unions to qualify for tax exemption from state and local taxes assessed to room charges, final payment must be made by check, share draft, or credit card issued by a federal credit union. Payments made by personal check, personal share draft, or personal credit card will not qualify for the exemption. The tax exempt form must be presented upon hotel check-in by the attendee.

Please note:
It’s come to our attention that a third-party (Convention Housing Services – CHS) may be contacting some of our exhibitors marketing their services of providing accommodations in San Antonio. We have been told that they are a hotel housing bureau and that in their contact with exhibitors, they specifically mention the ACUC. In fact, they are in no way affiliated with CUNA, or with the ACUC. The best way to be assured the CUNA rate, and assure you obtain a room at the conference hotel, is to make your hotel reservations by calling Hyatt at 800-233-1234. Please keep this in mind if anyone other than CUNA or the Hyatt asks you to fill out paperwork or give them payment information in regards to this conference or your hotel stay.
