Carrie Langgard

Carrie Langgard is the Executive Vice President for Sooper Credit Union, a $525M credit union in Arvada, Colorado.  She was named by the Board of Directors as the President/CEO successor when the current CEO retires at the end of 2021.  To create a smooth transition to leaders, Carrie has been leading the organization in preparation for the CEO’s retirement.

Carrie joined Sooper Credit Union in 2014 as the Chief Financial Officer.  Before her role at Sooper, she worked as the CFO with two other credit unions in the Denver area, overseeing all aspects of credit union management during her 23 years in the industry.  Carrie serves as a Board member on Prodigy, a credit union core technology CUSO.

Carrie is passionate about creating a dynamic culture and workplace that empowers employees by helping them discover how they can make a difference every day and achieve their highest aspirations through their daily actions.  In the last two years, Carrie led a team of employees from throughout the organization to embark on a journey of re-discovery to refresh and expand upon the credit union’s mission.  Their goal was to reach higher and to challenge the organization to become more effective at doing what they had always done: to make the world a better place through the credit union philosophy of “People helping people.”  With this, the organization built a set of core values, a vision, and a new mission that embodies their shared identity and has given voice to Sooper’s commitment to serving their members.
