Berenice Villarreal

Berenice Villarreal holds the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer at Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. She leads the compliance and risk functions for the credit union in a crucial time as RBFCU prepares to be under increased regulatory supervision having surpassed $10 billion in total assets.  Berenice has also held leadership roles in the Audit function, Consumer Lending, Wires/ACH and Business Services.  Prior to joining the credit union movement, she worked for a CPA firm specializing in banking and financial institution services.  Berenice graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with concentrations in both Accounting and Finance.  She holds her certification in public accountancy in Texas as well as Credit Union designations in Enterprise Risk Management (CUERME) and Compliance (NCCO).  She serves as the chair person for Endeavors, a non-profit providing comprehensive social services to vulnerable individuals and sits on the board of the Endeavors Foundation.
