Darin Woinarowicz
After more than two decades at some of California’s top credit unions, Darin joined Arrowhead Credit Union as President/CEO, while it was still under conservatorship. Under his leadership, Arrowhead became the first credit union to be returned to the members.
Drawing on the expertise he gained in senior leadership roles at SchoolsFirst FCU, Wescom, and Valley Strong credit unions, he built a leadership team and board, from the ground up. Over the next ten years, they would exponentially grow Arrowhead into a more than $2 Billion credit union, with strong capital, a growing membership, and enviable service scores.
For Darin, there are two laser-focus goals for Arrowhead: 1) Provide the very best service to their members; and 2) Give back to their community, and every team member is on board with the mission. As a hands-on CEO, he is known for his morning walks through every department, greeting team members and providing a presence of leadership that is the foundation of Arrowhead’s culture.
His efforts also extend beyond Arrowhead, lending his expertise to the Credit Union Advisory Committee for the CA Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, the CCUL Ad-Hoc Housing Committee, and as a board member of the Southern California Credit Union Alliance.
Having successfully rebuilt and continuing to grow Arrowhead, he is now passionate about helping other credit unions regain their footing. In the past ten years, Arrowhead has helped more than 30 credit unions in several areas; including but not limited to, compliance, audit, accounting, policies and procedures, IT security and board governance.
Darin lives in Southern California with his wife, Shannon, three daughters, Rachel, Bailey, and Ava, and his two dogs, Ryder and Bodhi.
