Jeff Waterman

Supervisory Special Agent Jeff Waterman is the senior leader of the White-Collar Crime (WCC) Squad for the FBI’s New Haven Field Office. The WCC Squad is responsible for investigating all financial frauds and intellectual property rights, health care fraud, and money laundering. Jeff is also the New Haven Field Office’s Crisis Management Coordinator, responsible for the readiness, response, and recovery of all personnel to critical incidents, including acts of terrorism, kidnappings, high impact incidents of violent crime, and natural disasters. Prior to leading white-collar investigations, Jeff led violent crime and gang investigations in the greater New Haven and New London areas.

As a special agent, Jeff led investigations into most of the FBI’s investigative programs, including violent crime and gangs, organized crime, terrorism, public corruption, civil rights, money laundering, and cyber-crimes, and was featured in the Netflix documentary “Untold: Crimes and Penalties.”

Prior to becoming an FBI Special Agent in 2002, Jeff was a police officer for over eight years. He has an undergraduate degree from Rhode Island College and a law degree from the Roger Williams University School of Law.
