Leslie Bumgarner

With more than 35 years of executive-level experience in the financial industry, Leslie Bumgarner is the President and CEO of Telhio Credit Union, a $1.3 billion financial cooperative. 

During her time with Telhio, Leslie has spearheaded an ambitious asset growth strategy while building a strong culture of member service and enhancing the governance structure of the credit union. Leslie's hands-on, visionary leadership and ability to foster strong teamwork among diverse talent has helped transform Telhio from a small, local credit union to one of the largest and most well-respected credit unions in the state, with more than 75,000 members. 

For nearly 10 years, Leslie has served as a volunteer with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC) of Central Ohio and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. Leslie also serves as Vice Chair of Cooperative Business Services, LLC, where she has been a Director since 2016, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, where she has served as a board member since 2019. 

She has been recognized locally and nationally for her leadership, including being named the Columbus CEO's Executive Women "Five Who Made it to the Top," twice being awarded the state industry's Social Responsibility Community Service award, receiving the industry's national Marketing Brilliance award, and being named Columbus Business First's Corporate Caring award winner. 

Leslie is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and remains a loyal Buckeye alumna today. Leslie lives with her husband of more than 40 years, Mike, on a farm in their hometown of Mechanicsburg, Ohio. They have two grown children and six grandchildren, with one more on the way.
